New abilities?

Quote:

* Ulrich got sacredawe, lost sacred status, recieved makemonster (ghouls) and got a slight stat boost.
* Lord Guardian got sacredawe.
* Animal awe, halt heretic, assassin, spy icons

"Sacredawe" probably awes the sacreds. But what could "halt heretic" be?

Halt heretic is essentially some other anti-sacred ability which presumably works like the Halt Demon property of the apotropaic weapons. Don't ask me how the mechanics of it go, I have no idea.

It could also be a different name for the same ability.

Endo is right. The ability is called sacredawe in my code, but it felt like a silly name so I called it halt heretic in the icon text.

Re: New abilities?

Probably not, Endo. Awe is a passive ability, i.e. on all the time. Halt Demon is an active ability, meaning you actually have to hit something with an antidemon weapon and then they get a MR roll to resist.

I think there was a weapon effect called Halt Sacred but it was only used for the weapons of some late game Lanka blood summons. The sacredawe thing, which is presumably a halt sacred but works like awe, is a completely new ability.

Does halt sacred have a mr roll? I didn't think it did.

What kind of a creature would have such an ability? I tried to come up with one and couldnt.

Re: New abilities?

Inquisitors could certainly have it.

It'd make sense on angels of wrath and similar units - any unit that existed to vanquish the "holy" warriors of the Heretic could at least justify having such an ability.

I'd think that only units which are so powerful or frightening that they actually threaten the faith of hostile holy warriors ought to qualify, however.
