Bigger gem events?

Have you noticed that gem events seem bigger? I'm used to them being around 4-6 gems, but now I'm seeing 15-22.

The number is random, can be as few as two or as many as 30 or more.

I think the gem events' die roll is open-ended (if you roll a virtual 6, roll again and add the results together). which sometimes produces lots of gems.

THere are some bigger events as well (water gems floating ashore IIRC and some more), but most are not.
