Item/Ability Petrification (etc.) vs Tramplers
I guess the main question I'd like answered is, does trampling count as an attack that triggers retaliations from, say, a Gorgon's or Medusa Shield's petrification ability?
I guess that would also apply to items such as the Vine, Eye, and Totem Shields, no? Maybe even the poison barbs on some Atlantian units' armor? Or does trampling just ignore all that? |
Re: Item/Ability Petrification (etc.) vs Tramplers
That was really scary, really. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
I just tested by sending 5 elephants against a Medusa. I got 5 "999", "994", "990".. red numbers raising from where they were... Amazing sight. So trample is considered an attack, at least for petrification. |

Awe also helps against tremplers and their eyes are cut off with Eye Shield

Re: Item/Ability Petrification (etc.) vs Tramplers
Endoperez, thanks for running the test and getting back with a quick reply. Looks like it's time for me to play around with Gorgon strategies with Pangaea and Arco (anybody else have access to her?)!

Re: Item/Ability Petrification (etc.) vs Tramplers
I don't think Arcosephale gets Gorgon. Sauromatia and LA Atlantis are the only ones besides Pangaea, according to Edi's database.

Ah, I see you're right regarding Arco - guess I just figured "Greece" = Gorgons. Sauromatia does have her, but I did a quick check, and LA Atlantis is w/o.
Time to take another look at Sauromatia perhaps... |
