Simple modify unit help plz.
 

Hi.

I have been playing winspmbt for a while now but i havent figured out how to modify units.
I want to do just one single "simple" modify to one unit only.
Finnish sniper should have "hvy sniper" (m82) available just like in real life ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_M82 )
So i would want to modify my game to reflect this, if its not easily possible to "create a new unit for fins" its okay to me to just modify one of the later date sniper so that the gun it uses is m82.

Basicly question is how i can do it ?

Using MOBHack provided with the game. Simplest way would be to locate heavy sniper and his weapon in US OOB, copy the weapon and sniper to clipboard, then open Finnish OOB and paste the sniper and gun in.

Guide (sortof, you'd better check Help for details):
1) Go to your SPMBT directory, find GameData/OOB directory. Copy default OOBs to a directory of your choice in "Custom OOB" section.
2) Open MobHack, go to your directory in Custom OOB
3) Open US OOB, find and copy weapon and unit
4) Open Finnish OOB, paste weapon to a free slot, paste sniper to free slot. Give him correct weapon, adjust his nationality, date of availability etc.
5) Save.
6) Run through cost calcullator
7) install your OOB using OOB Manager (also included)

Don't forget that even this chnge jeopardised PBEM if you're playing Finns, so if you want to PBEM, you have to a) reinstalldefault OOBs (easy unsing the manager) or you have to send the OOB to your opponent.

instructions worked fine, i think i have somekind of strange "fixation" (dunno if thats the correct word) for m82 sniper rifle, but still i wouldnt do this modify if finnish troops wouldnt have m82 available.

The next patch will have both the 12.7mm and 8.6mm sniper rifles in Finn service
