ship seperation
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR SHIP SEPERATION like in star trek! ok first make a fighter so big it wont fit in a normal cargo container then build two of them.then create a cargo ho9lder big enough for two of them with a launch fighter ability and a self destruct ablity hence destorying one ship and creating two more hey ifd there was a way to screw around with enemy components we could even make infestation weapons ie they would fire and wembedd a comp like theis in an enemy and destroy ther ship spawning two broodlings(echh starcraft wannabe!)

Abilities are seperate. It will NOT self-destruct as the fighters are launched.

if you want to do a scenario like the single-ship andromeda scenario, you could do something like this. you could create a component that acts as a fighterbay for one of these huge fighters, and has a weapon on it. set it to be destroyed after use, and put the same weapon on the fighter so its like a part of the ship launched off. i dont know how you could re-dock it though, and nothing is stopping someone from remote launching the fighter and repairing the ship afterwards.

Destroyed on use doesn't work for weapons. Might/might not work for fighterbays. You wouldn't be able to re-dock, you'd have to repair it, generating ANOTHER fighter.

Why don't you make a large fighter bay component that can only launch one fighter per combat, and make a large fighter that would act as a piece of the ship breaking off?

well then any ideas on infestation it would help my spacemonsters alot i wish there was a way to make a ship fire an embryo that woulld stay in a ship for 2 turns(a chance to remove it)and if not removed BOOM by by ship hello little broodling!!!!!!
