MP server and serial
 

Hello, I am in need of licence clarification.

I have purchased one Dominions 3 copy and would like to both set up a MP server (a friend agreed to provide space on his hosted server) and also to play from my laptop (using it as client on that server)

Is it possible with only one serial key? I don't want to get it banned in future updates of Dominions 3.

I think that is possible. At least I was able to play on my Dom3 dedicated a while back.

The host doesn't count so far as CD key clashes go. So you can have one player per CD key.

What I mean to say is that as long as all your opponents have different CD keys to you, you won't have a problem.

I think he didn't only ask if it was possible but if it was a breach of the license. I'm under the assumption that a server doesn't count as being "played", more like starting the same program twice. And/or the license is issued to you as user to be able to play the game instead of on a per-installation basis. But then again, I am no lawyer, so take it with a grain of salt.
