Order of acting in battle
Please remind me - what is an order of acting in battle? (which commander acts after which during each round of battle)
Is it always the same as the order in which commanders are listed in the army list on the screen when you scrip them what to do in battle? Or is it random every turn? Also if it is indeed the same as an order of commanders in the army list - is there any way to change that order? And what if you are attacking a province with several armies? Is the order of acting the same as the order you see when you press "Y" on a province you attack? (which lists all comanders in all armies) |
Re: Order of acting in battle
Yes, the order is the one displayed in the army list, which list you read with T or Y shortcuts.
On the other hand, the combination of armies already in a province you want to defend (T) reinforced by armies coming in that province (Y) is the one I can't get an ordered full units list for... |
Re: Order of acting in battle
it's the same as when you press 'y' on the province the battle will take place.
I doubt there's anything you can change about it. I find this very annoying when playing with communions and the supposed master appears close to the top. |

Why precisely, Fantasma?

Re: Order of acting in battle
well, if you have for example a reverse communion for evocation and one blood mage to reinvigorate the slaves. If the bloodmage casts before the others, they don't act this turn.
Or, more general, whenever you want your (few) superior masters to buff the (many) cheap slaves or cast big globals and want your slaves to act at the same time. |
Re: Order of acting in battle
I've heard the fact slaves can act is a bug, they shouldn't be able to act at all.
I do never (or almost) use this exploit, 'cause I'm a pure virgin. |
Re: Order of acting in battle
that's right, I heard that too, but then it is hard to avoid that your slaves cast, in the first place.
And there is the discussion in the communion's guide thread where it is explicitly mentioned as one way to get the most out of your battlemagic. The really broken part is, imo, that the slaves act/don't act depending on an arbitrary number. |
