How to start a MP Game?
 

My box finally arrived (been waiting since December, had some issues with a lost package) and I'm looking to get a MP game going!

Unfortunately there are no games going and my connection is too shotty to think of hosting one. Is there a normal channel for requesting new games?

Check the MP forum (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...;Board=d3maars). The community isn't huge, so you may have to wait a little bit for a game to begin recruiting and I'd suggest sticking to newbie games the first few times. The game host for whatever game you join should be able to tell you whatever you need to do to get setup for that particular game.

Also, there's a DOM3 IRC channel where people meet for faster paced games.

You can always ask llamabeast to host a new PBEM game (unless he's on vacation like right now) or me to host a new network based game. Bonus points if you create a game thread and handle the administrative stuff like finding a good map, laying out ground rules, allocating nations yourself.
