Campaign problem
 

I have a slight problem with my generated campaign, I only get meeting engagements. Would be fun to get something else for change. Didn't have this problem with earlier versions. I have already installed the game and all of the patches again. I Have tried over ten times to load my save to get something different. Just played fifth meeting engagement in a row.

Any ideas are appreciated (except starting a new campaign).

Believe it is by design. First X battles will be such. Not my favorite feature. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Some situations should kick off with a more defensively oriented opponent. (Short of manually editing the mission).

More apparent in SP:WW2. Tarawa: Meeting engagement. D-Day: Meeting engagement. It was nice to at least have the chance of starting with an assault.

Is it possible this is a "cross over" feature from the new PBEM campaign?? I know the first 3 battles in the PBEM Campaigns are ME's and it's stated in the rules/instructions that they will be.

Just a thought.
