I just returned to Dominions 3 after a year-long hiatus, and in the course of testing out a battle strat (umbrals vs. hydras for a forum thread) I noticed two things:

1.) The battle spell interface has been fixed! One minor but persistent irritant that I remember is that selecting a spell to spam was kind of a pain, because every time you picked "Cast a specific spell" it would start at the top of the list and you had to scroll down. This time, when I scrolled down and selected "Iron Warriors" and then back to "Cast a specific spell", Iron Warriors was still in the same place on the screen and I could easily click on it. All right! This UI improvement makes setting up battles VASTLY more pleasant. Kudos to JK.

2.) The new hydra icon is VERY pretty.
