Spell Question: Mind Hunt interception
On page 210 of the manual, the chance of intercepting Mind Hunt and Astral Projection is stated as "40% per enemy astral level". I am wondering what happens with an astral 3 mage in this example. Does it get a 120% chance to feeblemind the enemy Mind Hunt caster, or three 40% rolls to catch it?

Re: Spell Question: Mind Hunt interception
In a game with Arco I happened to mind hunt in one of my provinces (where there were several spies) and Rlyeh attacked it in magic phase with one S4 mage. My 4 mind hunters were all feebleminded, so I think it's (levelx40)% and not 40%/40%/40%/40%.
But I may also have been unlucky (I was anyway... as all my mages seem to have cast after Rlyeh's teleport spell). |

We know that in both battle and movement it is not random who goes first. The mages/commanders act in the order they are listed. So if Rlyeh had alot of S4's in one place would him sending the top one, with the lowest unit number I believe, vastly increase his chances of that mage casting his ritual before yours? I am not sure wether this is true or not, anyone know for sure? |
Re: Spell Question: Mind Hunt interception
I think I read in those forums that the spell order is "semi-random", meaning that rituals either start from the end of the id list or the start. I'm not sure though. If it works that way : casting with someone at the top of the list instead of the middle make him either avoid everything or take all, instead of being targetted by "half" of the "attackers".

Re: Spell Question: Mind Hunt interception
R'yleh also has stealthy S1 assassins, so it may be hard to say exactly what your Mind Hunter was up against.
