French OOB Work in Progres
 

Hi !

I have recently discovered the window version of the Stell Panther series. So i have download it and rush the oob editor to have a look on the french unit and i have found a lot off minor/major errors for units, weapons and formations.

For example the Mirage 2000 have no gun (where is the DEFA canon !), RT-F1 mortar excessive range, the FR-F2 is not a 12.7 mm sniper rifle but the classique 7.62mmm (correct name are PGM or HECATE II for the .50 cal sniper rifle), AMX 50 heavy tank never used ...

Mirage 2000
 

Unit 902 is the Mirage 2000-5 version wich has the 2 DEFA 30 mm internal guns. The 2000C has them too but is not in the OOB. I suppose it's considered an air to air version and anyway you can't put all the version with all the possible loadouts for obvious reasons. The 2000D and N don't have any internal gun but could be equiped with gun pods.

The first soldier is wearing an US helmet and a famas that looks like a felin one.

Totally off-topic - are the French Army allowed to grow beards?

No, not usually. But this soldier is probably from 1st or 3rd RPIMa
(1st/3rd Marines Paratrooper Regiment), which are considered SOC (Special Operation Capable) and are in the French Army quite allowed to do whatever they want. Including the beard, use of foreign weapons (M4, G36...) and of foreign equipment.
Other elite regiment like the REP (Foreign Legion Paratroops) and RIMa (Marines) don't have, as far as I know such allowance.

Total : 31445 ordered.

8th RPiMA (Marine para)
11th RAMA (Marine Arty)
Régiment de Marche du Tchad (Marine Mech infantry)
are equiped.
