WANT A NEW BACKGROUND MUSIC? HERE IT IS...

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
Bored with the original background battle FX that just shows you battle ambience?
Well, this might be helpful: I've just mixed a brand new "MUSIC", err.. "WAR MUSIC" for the game background.
These files will replace the original "battlesounds1.wav" and "battlesounds2.wav"
To do so, just simply place the two files at directory:
".../WinSPWW2/Game Data/Sounds"

Hope You can enjoy!

BTW,
who's the composer?

Well, if you ask me "who is the composer", I would simply say, "I am the composer".
Indeed, I mixed some different musics into a single file using audio-editing software (and I also edited the musics a little bit). Some musics come from WW2 related animation, video, and some from WW2 games. You can hear the famous Jeff Wayne's music of The War of The World titled "The Fighting Machine" here (of course, it's been remixed).
I hope it doesn't violate any copyright law, does it?

Probably. But it depends on the individual copyrights, what country you are in, what country the downloaders are in, how large a sample of music you took from each body of work, how much you edited/remixed the original scores, and most importantly: whether you are actually profiting from someone elses work (which you aren't).

So, are you a "composer" or a "mixer"? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Don't take me wrong, I'm over 40, an ex musician and still very sensitive with the use of words as "composer".
I'm probably...obsolete! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Hahaha, well,
I AM THE MIXER
I don't make any distinction between MIXER and COMPOSER, sorry http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

From the FAQ section found at the top of your screen on the right side. Once there this is under "What are the rules ? "

And after taking into account DRG's post I want to say that the composer brings something new (hopefully) to the world of music while the "mixer" brings something new to his lawyer ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
