Which nations are not dependent on their capital?

After reading the Helheim thread, I have been wondering about which nations have primary units which are not capital dependent. As far as I know, Shinuyama and Argatha are two, and maybe Mictlan to some extent, but I'm wondering if people here have other suggestions before I go starting a 63 nation test game. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I would say any nation that can recruit its best mage from any castle.
For example any era C'tis or MA Caelum.

Since I prefer to play nations that are not that much capitol dependend I'd like more suggestions..

MA pyth obviously has best mages in capitol but the rest is decent too.. so I like them atm

Ma Atlantis is not dependent on its capital. The capital only mage sucks, W3 S2, because kings of the deep (recruitable anywhere) can get W3 S2 as well, plus 3xhps and 10% chance of another magic path!

Some races are just messed up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Ma Atlantis is pretty weak anyway so a boost to its capital only mage would be good, even if that increased the 180gps cost. Say additional 100% chance of WSDN for 240 gps cost?

It's not really messed up, there are all kinds of reasons you might want consistently astral mages, and they are far cheaper.

Personally, I find it refreshing to have capital only mages with a different niche rather than just being absolutely the best.

(LA) Marignon. MA Pythium sort of, since Theurgs should be all you need for the most part.

LA Agartha. Ktonian necromancer is recuitable anywhere, excellent battlemage.

EA Arcoscephale. (Has some cap-only mages but they have Cloud Trapeze, and recruitable-anywhere Mystics are good.)

Shinuyama of course.

EA Ermor.

EA C'tis.

MA Ulm
LA Ermor, except for the enormous death income from the capital...

My favorite, Marverni is not dependant from the capitol in the normal way:

-You might likely never recruite a capitol only-unit. Comanders with berserk are not the best idea and the troops - they are sacred and with a good bless they would work well, but since they are capitol only and not THAT overwhelming, you will likely not choose a bless.

However, your capitol is a cool fortified city and elsewhere you are only constructing Molte and Bailys (or whatever that is spelled). Thus, Your capitol will likely be a major part of your ressource-total for quite a while.

MA Ulm has quite good capital only Priest Smiths.
I like them a lot with the new spells
