1) why is protection capped at 40?
2) can whre i an find a list of all heroes with their charateristics?
3) same question with radom summons, like "amesha spenta" and "demon lord"

It's not, IIRC. It's just very hard to get it above 40, especially if you have both armor and natural protection, because of the way they combine.
