Resign/surrender

For some reason I always thought there was a resign/retreat/withdraw/surrender button somewhere.
Out of curiosity tried to find it but it looks I was wrong. Or was I?

AFAIK the only time this option was in the games was for PBEM but this was subsquently removed as it was found to be a possible cheat.
