Just how bad can it get?

Somewhere I got a soulless. (I didn't note how, there's nobody in the army that deals with undead. The force that got him was actually on a suicide mission to get rid of unwanted troops but won the battle.)

Diseased
Lost one eye
Weakened
Limp
Never healing wound
Mute
Battle Fright

I also wonder how one can possibly accumulate 3 stars of experience as it never heals.

Might have been a mortal unit that gained 3 stars, then turned into undead.

I think you should be wondering what kind of shape the guys he killed were in so that he could amass the 3 stars.

Is it just me, or should lack of a soul be an affliction?

In some circles it's considered a blessing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Affliction: Shattered Soul
Requirements: not a demon, not unique, not mindless, not magic being, not animal, not inanimate,
Effect: mor = 50 (mindless), mr -5, att -3, def -3
Can only be received from magic damage. Very, very rare. More common (just very rare) from Astral spells' (and items'?) damage, from the same formula that checks Astral for True Etherealness.

Yeah, that'd be nice. Perhaps we should start new afflictions suggestion thread? Affliction and Heroic Ability suggestion thread, actually. If a soul can be lost, it can be found as well, and then someone should get Heroic ability Strong Soul: +mr, +str.

That afflicted 3-star soulless, however, does not. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Injured.gif It can get worse. I think the beta group's Hall of Lame has him beat, but yours could still get worse!

P.S. Yep, Daynarr had a Rudra with ten afflictions.

I've seen more afflictions on units before but they were strong units. This is just a soulless!

I, personally, would love to see the longest affliction list anyone has ever accumulated where the unit in question was both 1) never diseased (the turn it becomes diseased through damage is acceptable) and 2) a correct unit (I've heard rumors of so-called indestructible units that don't qualify).

Re: Just how bad can it get?

The non-diseased requirement isn't one we've applied to previous contests. Best I can offer on the spur of the moment is an undiseased Ashigaru with four, but I'll keep it in mind. In Dom II the affliction record thread got one at 13 afflictions but with disease.
