Number of units question
 
I changed the settings.txt file for the following:
number of units 5000, (this worked good, I didnt have to change the units setting for each new game).

I later tried to change the unit setting to 9000. This had no effect, does anyone know if this is hard coded? If so what other startup variables are hard coded.

Ships per player & units in space are both HC limited to 5000 each.
I've got my settings.txt set to 100,000 of each, just in case that ever changes http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif

I can't recall any other settings being fixed, but as of SE4 v1.41, your maintenance dosen't go lower than 5% (unless you do some fancy modding of unrelated items).

Noe effect as in the max was still 5000, or do you mean the new max was 9000?

Should have been more clear. changed setting to 9000, game still showed 5000.

Thought it waws hard coded, thanks for the verification.
