Nether darts hurt anyone but they can be avoided by shields or air shield - just like normal arrows.

Also worthy of note is that if you have a lot of chaff undead, you don't really worry about the feeblemind or even a few extra casulties. Ermor tends to have easy access to nether darts and the chaff, so it can work well for them.

However, the darts do perform badly against sheilds, so use bolts instead.

I don't really think it's a good spell for Ermor but it's one of the major battle spells for R'lyeh along with Astral geyser. One of the main reasons for it is that Nether darts power scales with Astral level and Purple Starspawns should be your main and most common mages in LA.
