OT: Trying To Remember
 

When I was a kid I watched a movie on TV, which meant that it had to be at least 10 years old, pre-Star Wars, where a guy and women crash land in the jungle to be saved by 3 elderly men. The guy, a WWII vet, carries around an 8mm bullet in his pocket for good luck because it was in a German rifle and did not fire when the German soldier pulled the trigger. Any ways the 3 elderly men turn out to be ex-Nazi war criminals and the guy and the women must escape into the jungle. The guy, in the escape attempt, puts his lucky bullet into a hole in the door and smacks it with an object making it fire and kills one of the three Germans. They escape into the jungle and eventually kill the other two Germans. I don't recall the name of the movie, the year it was made, or who starred in it. Any help in solving this little mystery would be greatly appreciated. The movie was in color.

I believe the movie you are talking about is Run for the Sun from 1956...

Thanks CK. I believe that is it. funny thing too, I looked up Richard Widmark last night because I thought that he was in it. Unfortunately the link at IMDB didn't have much info about the movie, but Wiki did. That is great. Thank you very much for you help.
