Harry Turtledove and Timeline 191

I did a search to see if anyone started recreating the alternate WWI and/or WWII. I was wondering if anyone planned on starting one or if it was something worth working on myself. I'm new to the community but would try my hand at seeing if I had some talent in this area. Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome.

Well I've read the Great War series just now and grabbed any bit of information from them. Seems most people are right that the weaponry and technology would be the same for OTL as in TL-191, so not much to change there:

Great War
HMG - Maxim (US) Vickers (CSA/England/Canada)

Infantry - Sprinfield (US)
Tredegar/.303 Enfield(CSA/England/Canada)
Bayonet & Grenade & Pistol (Everyone)

Artillery - 3 in, 6 in, 8 in (US)
French 75mm (CSA)
Unknown to British and Canadians

1914 Armored Car used in Western Front
1915 Chlorine gas used on Eastern Front

1916 Barrels (Tanks) introduced - Sturmpanzerwagen A7V (US)
British Mark I male (CSA/England/Canada)

These are just what was mentioned in the books. I'm going to take the liberty of basically using the Germans and British as models. The US and CSA would use their respective doctrines and had used/produced "borrowed" equipment throughout the war.

As for the campaign itself. I wanted to run it like the Long Campaign so the user could choose to hop to different fronts if they wanted a change of scenery. Eastern Canada, Western Canada, Eastern Front (Maryland, Northern and Western Virginia), Kentucky, and Sonora.

This is just the Great War so far as I'm just now getting into Settling Accounts. Was going to use the years 1934-1939 as the Great War years. What do you think thus far?

Alright I'll join up and give it a look. Any help is good help in my opinion. Was just going to use the Red Army and Blue Army to make the OOBs and since the uniforms for those armies are closely similar to what I had in mind I wasn't going to fuss.
