MOD Help - Altering Terran Starting Ships
Hi, all,
I just discovered this wonderful little game and started fiddling with MODs. So, since I have yet to have the opportunity to captain the Damocles, I thought "why not make it one of the starting ships?" So, I replaced the terran frigate information in the terran.ini file with information pointing to the damocles hull. When I loaded the mod, all that happened was it repeated the science vessel as a choice where the frigate used to be, and selecting it did not give the damocles. I thought there might be some conflict with the quest, so I removed damocles from the quest list in game.ini, same result. I also removed damocles as a race in the game.ini file, but the results have not changed. Anyone know why this isn't working? |

i don't remember off the top of my head, but i remember it being a little tricksey. There are graphics specifically for the ship selection screen, so that might be where you're seeing the weirdness. i also seem to remember that one had to edit several files to get that sort of thing going. hope that helps a little.
