Magic Item Spells
Quick question: spells from magic itens (i.e. Flame Bolt from Sceptre of Authority) cause fatigue in the commander using them?
I searched around the forums and could not fina and answer.... Thanks |
Re: Magic Item Spells
I think they cause 5 fatigue. Could be wrong.

Re: Magic Item Spells
They cause 5 fatigue each and encumbrance is ignored.

Re: Magic Item Spells
Not exactly related, but just to use the same thread:
One of my commanders was cursed in battle, and i know that curse is permanent, however, i would like to know: if i equip a luck inducing item (lucky coin, etc.) it would nullify the curse effects? Thanks |
Re: Magic Item Spells
Nope. Luck and curse aren't really opposites. Luck means all damage (except insta-death, IIRC?) has a 50% miss chance; Curse means all damage has x2 chance of dealing afflictions.
In terms of affliction accumulation, they do cancel out over time (half the hits, but twice the affliction odds on each)- but Luck negates damage, not just the afflictions, so Luck+Curse is a better state than "neutral". |
Re: Magic Item Spells
Regeneration also reduces the number of afflictions, so that helps too.

Re: Magic Item Spells
Correct, luck does not affect insta-death (9999 damage) like Soul Slay.
Are you sure Curse is only x2 afflictions? I thought it was a flat 25% chance on any hit. -Max |
Re: Magic Item Spells
Doesn't Curse even reduce the actual chance of hitting? I had this impression in a game with my cursed Wyrm, but maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Magic Item Spells
Curse only gives increased amounts of afflictions. The opposite of Luck is Curse Luck, a status effect that only some Doom Horrors and Flail of Misfortune (default weapon of Belial, Lord of Corruption) can inflict.
