Shapeshifting problem

I am testing something I'm going to use with Niefelheim in a game,
to fully equip a Jotun Skratti, hydra skin armor, ring of reg, faithful, snake bladder stick, horror helmet, boots of stone and amulet of reinvig.
So first I buff him with quicken self, breath of winter, mossbody or whatever and set order change shape ( to werewolf ) and attack, naturally he kills everybody without any trouble but after the battle he changes to wolf form without any reason, why is that?

I would have no problem with that if he didn't lose all the items when he changes,
and the original plan was to send him in wolf form which is stealthy, and keep the items on a scout, and when I attack I put the items back and sneak the scout in with him.

So, any reason he changes shape to wolf without command???

A shapechanging unit trys to resume its original form when it transforms during a battle, which is ok when a unit has 2 forms but the Skratti have 3.

You need to do your scout thing and transfer equipment has needed, a pain but there you go.

why is snakebladder stick so good?

AOE poison... helps break morale; esp in combo w/ the horror helm, mossbody, and BoW.

The "bug" has been around since the Skratti were given their third form. it's too bad...

I generally keep my Skratti in werewolf form in order to avoid this problem. Sure, my self buffs are limited to quicken and Breath of Winter, but I also use a Seithkona to buff two or three of them with ethereal body. Then again, I also tend to send them out in masses as thugs to support armies. I haven't made many of them into super combatants.

I consider this to be very stupid, why does one have to change shape after the battle??? It makes no sense, you can do it during the turn anyway, It only makes trouble like in my case,
I was aiming for a stealthy SC,
go as wolf and when I want to attack change shape and transfer the items from the scout and the battle is won change to wolf again and continue, but I can't make it work without losing items!!!
I really think this should be fixed, it could give a good advantage to Niefel, it's very hard to attack a sneaking army.

Yeah I always keep them in werewolf form to avoid the problem

It is a nuisance though.

I actually think the stealthy thing is intentional. Developers have seemt to bend over backwards to stop developing any more stealthy supercombatants.

eg., no items grant stealthy.

Then all those people could stop complaining about how weak Niefelheim seems.

Is that a Smurf on a Crucifix or something (your Avatar). It's really weird, but not out of character.
