Generated Battle June 1944

June 1944
UK vs Germany
UK advance
Mix force Battle
60 x 60

My force:
HQ unit
1x Cromwell IV Troop(3) +1 seperate Cromwell
1x Churchill AVRE Troop(3)
1x Rifle Company +1x 3in Mortar attachment
4X M7 Priest
2x Hurricanes as support

The Map:
Heavily Treed,Farmland,1 secondary road running NW-SE,3 towns along the road, with 1 town at NE corner of map,and a farmhouse next to a town as my HQ.

The Battle:
(Begining)
Each rifle platoon had a churchill flame tank and a cromwell.I start by moving each platoon slowly through the trees.I used the extra cromwell to pratrol the road for early warning against German armor. When this Cromwell reached the southern most town it was nocked out by what my men thought was a STuH 42.

I move men thru the trees, only to be cut down by SS troopers when moving across a Farm field.I manged to get the flame tanks up to force a German retreat. In the north 1st Platoon was about to take an objective just across a farm field when out of no where my cromwell was hit.

(Mid)
I order my M7 Priests to bombard the treeline leaving the SS troopers shell shocked but the Panzer IVs only hit by shrapnel and unscaved. In the center,2nd Platoon exchanged some fire across a field but managed to break thru and secure 2 objectives with the help of the flame tank and a cromwell destroying 2 Panzer IVs!

In the south my Hurricanes nock out a Stug III(not STuH 42)
and immobilized a Panzer. But lost a cromwell and a flame tank to a Halftrack with 75mm guarding the road. With my rifleman running into stiff SS troopers,I called off the southern attack.2 squads down to 5 men,1 completely destroyed and one pinned and down to 4 men by German mortar fire,it was no use losing more good men.

(End)
Meanwhile the center and North advance was going slowly but well.Occasionally they ran into stiff opposition but managed to take a few objectives.2ND Platoon took the enmy commander(I would surrender too if there was flame tank pointing right at me).Soon after exchanging some fire the scenario ended.

Outcome: Draw

Losses:
Can't say exactly but(I didn't take the time to look at losses):
1 Platoon of men
2x Cromwell
1x Churchill AVRE

Great briefing Commander. Nothing like a Flamethrower to throw a scare into even the hardest troops.
