Patch Announcement Mailing List?
 

Is there a mailing list dedicated just to announcing when patches are ready? It would be nice so I would not have to check the site every week to see.

Speaking of patches, does *anyone* know when one is expected?

Nope. Richard usually lets us know here at the forum, and we spread the word.

That begs the question, though, would anyone be interested in such a list? I'd be happy to set it up if people would find it useful.

Patches used to be anounced (even if it was from another player) in the yahooGroups SE4 list.
That list is much older than this forum, it even anounced that shrapnel was going to be the publisher but I haven't recieved many message from thet list lately.

Yes, that mailing list is so old, I remember when it wasn't even e-Groups yet! http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif Yahoo bought out e-Groups a while ago it seems (I hadn't noticed, I haven't recieved a message from it since the e-group days), and before that, e-Groups bought the company that hosted the original list. Or else the company changed their name to e-Groups, because I remember getting a message that changed the e-mail to XXXXXXX@e-Groups.com, and announced new features and such, which not many people used http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif
