Fleet experience for fighters?
 

Do fighters get the benefit of fleet experience if they are placed in an experienced fleet?

Units cannot gain experience.

Units can't gain experience from combat. Fighters in a fleet gain fleet experience from Fleet Training Facilities. Fighters in a fleet gain fleet experience if other ships in the fleet blow up ships. Fighters in a fleet with no ships (units only) don't gain fleet experience. Just another quirk of the system. See Mothballs get experience?!.

I think he was asking if fighters in the fleet get the bonuses for being in the fleet. As far as I know, they do. This makes fighters potentially the most powerful type of units since no other unit can join a fleet and get this advantage. But as already stated, they do not gain experence individually of course. The +50 percent for a legendary fleet is still quite a boost for fighter Groups.

While looking through the history.txt file for patch 1.33 I happened to notice the following: "23. Fixed - Fleet bonuses were not always being added to a ship during combat. (NOTE: Fleet bonuses do not effect fighter or satellite Groups)."

Baron Munchausen, was your answer based upon experience you had prior to that patch? The way the history.txt is worded, it seems to imply that fighters never received a bonus for being in an experienced fleet and nothing was changed about that in the fix, since the part about fighters in fleets is in parenthesis.
