EA/LA Mictlan and VP Provinces

According to the manual, any province that has a crown/VP in it acts as a temple (dominion level 5) for the nation that controls the province.

Does anybody know if this also applies to EA/LA Mictlan or not? As their temples do not spread their dominion like every other nation (as we all know)

At least for Late age answer is yes. So most probably for early too.
