In the Scenario Editor, after buying troops for at least one side, press the DEPLOY button for that side. (You cannot deploy until some troops have been bought). The edit Victory Hexes button is now active.

V hexes belong to the scenario and not to a map, so are deployed with troops and not by using the map editor.

I also have an editor question, but mine is far more basic. I am using the free download version, have generated a generic battle and would like to reduce the number of turns. I can't seem to find a place to edit this.

Am I missing something obvious in the editor or is this not possible for the free version.

I assume that reducing map size and deploy points might force the random generator to do smaller turns. Is that a decent assumption?

In the scenario editor, go to deployment (for either side) and press the full stop (.) key, or press the button that has a stopwatch icon on it. (It comes up with "Change Game Length" in the comment bar when you hover the mouse over it).

See the Game Guide->Scenario Editor link->Scenario Troop Deployment Editing paragraph, additional scenario-editing deployment hot keys box. The Set Game Length button is shown in the image at the top of that paragraph, 5 down on the RHS, beside the AUX button.

Cheers
Andy
