Farsummon question
I can't get this to work:
Only the first spell works fine (one of the team will become a leader) But I actually wanted them to be led by the general, if I use the nextspell command though it gives a nosuchspell error (something like that) #newspell #name "Deploy Black Knight Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school 0 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 ----- 6 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 3 #pathlevel 1 3 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 ---- 2500 #damage 2602 #nreff 15 --nextspell "General Strike Force" #end #newspell #name "General Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school 0 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 1 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 #damage 2621 #nreff 1 --nextspell "Med Priest Strike Force" #end First I thought it was that maybe you couldn't link summons as effects but that isn't correct because the spells below do work #newspell #name "Recruit Flamer Squad" #descr "For a number of valuable and holy green gems you hire a team of flamethrower wielding maniacs." #school 3 #restricted 79 #researchlevel 0 -----3 #path 0 6 #path 1 0 #pathlevel 0 2 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10001 #fatiguecost 100 ---1500 #damage 2815 #nreff 10 #end #newspell #name "Recruit Heavy Weapons Squad" #descr "For a number of valuable and holy green gems you hire a team of bazooka carrying grunts." #school 1 #restricted 79 #researchlevel 0 ---- 5 #path 0 6 #path 1 0 #pathlevel 0 4 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10001 #fatiguecost 100 --- 2500 #damage 2816 #nreff 10 #nextspell "Recruit Flamer Squad" #end OK I suddenly see something here and I'm going to try it out --> in my working example the spell being refered to is above the spell being cast first.. I'll try this.. might be good to know |

Re: Farsummon question
yay what do I win?
I think this should be mentioned in the modding manual... all these things aren't that logical since I usually create a spell.. then want another effect and I usually type it after it |
Re: Farsummon question
But I have another question:
I now summon 15 black knights.. AND a black knight leader (which doesn't exactly exist and doesn't need to be there) And I get 2 models of teh general.. one the actual leader that needs to be there and one "trooper" general without leadership. I probably actually summon the trooper (since I don't have a command to farsummon leaders as I said above) and get the leader as bonus since that is what farsummons usually do.. anyway to solve this? (It's not that important, more cosmetic really but still a bit strange.) |
Re: Farsummon question
newspell
#name "Drop Pod Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school -1 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 3 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 #damage 2583 #nreff 2 #end #newspell #name "Med Priest Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school -1 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 3 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 #damage 2623 #nreff 1 #nextspell "Drop Pod Strike Force" #end #newspell #name "General Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school -1 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 3 #pathlevel 1 1 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 #damage 2621 #nreff 1 #nextspell "Med Priest Strike Force" #end #newspell #name "Deploy Black Knight Strike Force" #descr "The Black Knights are the elite troops used in behind enemy lines drop pod attacks." #school 0 #restricted 75 #researchlevel 0 ----- 6 #path 0 4 #pathlevel 0 1 #path 1 3 #pathlevel 1 1 -----3 #effect 10037 #fatiguecost 100 ---- 2500 #damage 2602 #nreff 15 #nextspell "General Strike Force" #end Ok no offence to other modders but this really is a SWEEEEETT spell I created here. You far summon 15 black knight (elite troops) (+ the one that got a battle field promotion somehow) A general (and someone posing as a general but actually w/o leadership a combat medic (and someone posing as medic but wihtout magic) and 2 drop pods (which are useless but I wanted them on the field anyway :D) and the feared droppod leader...(which of course shouldn't be there either. If only I could remove all those fakes it would be even better |
Re: Farsummon question
Try spell #effect 10001 for the troopers. The #effect 10037 will only summon commanders and turn non-commanders into commanders.
That is why you will see leadership statistic for every unit in Edi's database. |
Re: Farsummon question
no that it not correct Edratman
10001 summons troops but doesn't farsummon them (in distant even enemy province) 10021 is the command use to summon commanders in the same province (what I think you mean with effect 10037 10037 is farsummoning and I tested that it summon troops in a distand province and automatically adds one of those as leader with 40 leadership (for the rest unchanged) I've got some spell DB here (spells-VLOOKUP) and it lists some battle field effects and also has all effect numbers for loads of spells.. a lot of what seems to be summon and farsummon spells use other #effects (at least if that DB is correct and I assume it is.) SO new question: can anyone tell me a spell that farsummons a commander (so I can look it up) for example call of the wild uses 10037, so is angelic host summon animals is 10068, animal hord too phantasmal attack is 10038 devourer of souls is 10089, so is Call Amesha Spenta and Summon Tlaloque WInged monkeys is 10098 Earthattack is 10050 and send tupilak Call Eater of the Death is 10093 Monster Boad and dream horror are 10042 Can anyone tell me what each of these spells too the 10050 spells are assasinations I think 10042 seems to be things that hide in your province and don't directly attack I think. what is the difference between the other spells.. is any of them a farsummon? And what is the difference between summon devourer of souls (and those of that same number) and a regular commander summon? |
Re: Farsummon question
noone knows about farsummons?
|
Re: Farsummon question
IIRC, unit/commander farsummons are complicated and not particularly mod-friendly. I seem to recall that making a farsummon that summoned wolves automatically got Werewolf leader, as per Call of the Wild.
As you can see, I don't remember any details. |
Re: Farsummon question
but are there farsummons that only summons a commander? If I know which spell I might be able to copy the numbers needed from that DB I have.
