Lance damage mechanics?
Can someone explain this to me? The base damage is 15, and strength is not added, and you can only use it once. But I recall reading somewhere that the movement is also added onto the damage? Am I correct?

Well, I think it must be the action points divided by two or something, otherwise it would be crazy damage.

is it AP, or AP yet to be expended that turn, or AP already expended (the "charge"), or one of these divided by some factor x, or does it depend upon the stars?

I once tired to mod a AP 40 unit with lance to get crazy first hit damage. The results proved.. unsatisfactory.
Just to test, I modded a unit with AP like 50 or so and gave him a armor negating (strenght not added) weapon, so that the dmage given would be only RND + charge damage. Best amount of damage I got in 5 tests was like 5 or 6. I think the damage has a cap or I'm missing something. NOTE: This was a couple versions ago, so it might have changed/ or fixed. |

Odd, knights often do much more than 5 or 6 damage.

maybe it just doesn't add to AN damage for some reason?
