Short-term sub for a finely-balanced Veritas
 

Hey all,

We're looking for a sub for a ME Eriu who's just starting to grow very big! Up to now Eriu has been steered by the very capable hands of Valerius (the guy who maintains the Strategy Index), who's off on some no doubt exotic holiday from the 17-31 of October.

If you love the nation too much by the time he comes back though you can keep playing!

Eriu seems to be peaking at just the right time, and is currently a narrow first place in provinces, with more to come, and has greatly benefited in other areas at the expense of Baalz's Bandar Log, who got out of the kitchen (went AI) after things got a little too hot! I just have to say I wish I was inheriting Bandar's game-leading gem income :)

In addition to what he's already taken, Eriu has sole claim to 5 more provinces (which include a capital and another castle) which he will take after he mops up the feeble monkey resistance! At this point he will hold a strong central position which gives him the balance of power as probably the 3rd strongest nation in a game of charged diplomatic intrigue!

Just to add that since it is now Friday you'd better not PM Valerius if interested, he'll probably be offline, so PM me instead.

We'll delay hosting until a sub is found, so we're really hoping somebody will be able to step in for a while and keep the game going :)

Bump!

So we're well into delaying the game now, setting Eriu to AI would be a real shame because Valerius will actually be back on the 31 of October...so any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hi again!

The situation becomes ever more dire...another option is that we could extend the hosting to something like 72 hours or so, so any sub would only have to play about 3 leisurely turns until Valerius came back.

And of course you'd have time to have a good look at the nation.

And there would be no pesky wars with peskier humans to worry about, just smoking some weak AI and building stuff, pretty cruisy I'd say!

Please please somebody help :)
