Aircraft Crash Effects
Good day all,
I am curious if anybody has had a shot down aircraft land on their troops and or vehicles? If so what kind of effect does this usually generate? In all my years playing I've have never seen this happen. Bob out :D |
Re: Aircraft Crash Effects
No, but if you could shoot in down on your opponent's troops...I'd give that gunner a metal and a bigger gun!:fire:

Re: Aircraft Crash Effects
Yes I have seen aircraft crash into hexes with infantry.
No, it doesn't do the infantry any good. I seem to recal one incident years ago where an aircraft crashed into a hex with a tank and it cause the tank to retreat . The test would be to fill a smallish map with lots of infantry and AA guns then sent over aircraft and wathc what happens Don |
Re: Aircraft Crash Effects
I just may do that.
Although this weekend I had a Brit pop a Blowpipe into the rear end of a MI 8 that had just off loaded several Squads and an ATGM Team into what was supposed to be a COLD LZ and crash on them, Squads took suppression and the 20's and the Team died. One could assume an A10 thundering in would cause similar results.:rip: Bob out:D |
Re: Aircraft Crash Effects
This morning I cheered as my 2cm AAA shot down a Spitfire XI, only to cringe a second later as it landed on my Pather A. Horrified by the carnage I saw in the hex, I was relieved to find that the tank didn't even button up. I guess 50 meters is enough room for a downed British plane and a German tank to co-exist peacefully. :)

Re: Aircraft Crash Effects
I play so many games, and this one is so old. But it seems like I remember thinking this to myself for the longest time and then I had a tank or something destroyed from it. It certenly wasnt reciently maybe 10+ years ago. Then again maybe I'm getting it confused with Sudden Strike or another one of these types of games.
