Troops Disobeying Orders?

1 Attachment(s)
Playing as LA Pangaea... and I've found that on a number of occasions, that a big army I've sent to go someplace just randomly decides not to go.

The image shows the army in Port Palatuk, ordered to attack and wipe out Patala in Locmar.

The attached turn file shows that they didn't actually do that, instead staying home.

Thoughts?

Hmm. That thread was kind of inconclusive, so to clarify: known, but rare, issue regarding armies moving into each other? Is there any sort of fix, or is this just a random and really annoying glitch?

Role play it as a reality. Armies moving close to each other can give the commander a reason to pause and double check whose side they are on.
Fire the commander that paused and messed up your plans.

Not necessarily. It just sometimes happens that your army won't move into enemy territory for no reason.

Lol, wish I knew which one it was...

Is there anything in particular I can do to avoid this kind of thing? Or is it just an essentially random "Sorry, you're screwed".

Give up and go around. That's the only way I've found to defeat this bug. It doesn't occur very often, but when it does, it's really annoying!

Please send your game files to Illwinter with a description of the bug if you can, the address is here:

i-n-f-o(at)i-l-l-w-i-n-t-e-r(dot)c-o-m

Just remove the dashes and format the address correctly. It would be awesome if they could squish this bug.

I have also found that the only way to "break" the movement bug is to move the army to a different province. Trying to keep moving it to the "bugged" province accomplishes nothing in my experience.

I think someone in the other thread mentioned moving commanders individually, and not as a grouped "stack". It's worked for me before when I've had this problem.

Hmm. I don't really use 'stacks' much myself, and that wasn't the case here.
