IS Patch 3.21 Official?
 

I am playing the game named BUGGY.

when I looged on to play my turn (43 or so) it said "your Dominions game is outdated and you need to update to 320 File version 321 nation 57".

And will not let me in the game...any suggestions?:confused:

I would suggest getting the patch, to update to "version 321 from version 320". ;)

Hey Gb, KO said it was official. If you use Llama Server you have to upgrade. :D

The patch is unofficial when its posted as released on Illwinters progress page. At that point it goes to the beta group for testing. When its released to the public on Shrapnels pages then its official.

Sometimes a server who is in beta group will mess up and update too soon. But it rarely happens.

I think you mean "player", and I think you mean quantum_mechani or Endoperez, crashing things in Blitzes or MP... ;)

Well no, I meant server since he was having the error and worndering about it.
But yes, sometimes we betas update our playing copy too soon and end up crashing a game we are in also. I have to be above-average careful on that since I dont play mp as "Gandalf Parker" and it would be a give away to be crashing the game with a copy that isnt out yet.

Its hard to get everyone to coordinate together on updates even after its officially released.

It's even more annoying since I blitz so rarely, but an upcoming/in-the-testing patch often gets me interested in a spesific strategy... :doh:

It's my understanding-and maybe someone official can confirm this-that it's Shrapnel Games' policy to only release official material. So anything you can download from Shrapnel-like patches-will always be official.
