Wut? SC dies for no reason...
So I had (HAD damnit...) a nicely equiped Posidon in an army storming Pythium, 1st turn he casts invulnerability, and 2nd turn was scripted to hold or attack. However, watching the replay, during the defenders 2nd turn when they are casting such uselessness as stream of life and holy avenger my SC simply disappears, and at the end of the battle his gear is picked up here and there.
Very odd, I can't think of any reason why he would die, there were no killer spells being cast, no enemies remotely close to him (not that anything could have killed him like that anyway. Well he was wearing bone armor if the soul vortex has anything to do with it. Also the death version of the twin spear. Other gear was luck pendant and charcoal shield. |

Re: Wut? SC dies for no reason...
stream of life? thats the death by overload of lifeforce type spell right?
could have been that though i don't know much of the details with that spell so maybe not, alternatively i could be thinking of a totally diferent spell or even 1 that doesn't exist so don't listen attentively to what i say. |
Re: Wut? SC dies for no reason...
Interesting, guess my MR failed then.
Oddly I saw no gfx for it on the SC though, I saw them casting SoL at my freaks up in front. Strange that it even targeted my SC sitting in the rear, but I guess that must be it. |
Re: Wut? SC dies for no reason...
The mage targeting algorithm is pretty decent and it'll generally go after high-HP targets with single target/small ae spells, like it should.
SoL is also range-limited at 35+, so the majority of the casts may have ended up in your frontal chaff with a few casts from powerful or more forward-placed mages aimed at the big guy. |
