Arrow Fend vs. Flaming Arrows
 

So how does this play out? Let's say the units you have are fire vulnerable Niefel giants. Will it block the attacks completely, or will you still get mauled by some flame attacks?

I haven't tested, but I'm pretty sure arrow fend, air shield etc stop the missile attack completely, including secondaryeffects,.. but possibly not secondaryeffectalways's, like that of the banefire crossbow.

Isn't arrow fend supposed to stop rain of stones?
I've noticed several poeple in various games use, tried to use arrow fend against rain of stones, including me.
So if it doesn't work for rain of stones, does it work for blade wind, storm of thorns or something similar?

I have just tested it and am pretty sure air shield does not stop rain of stone.

For blade wind/storm of thorns I think air shield works. The difference is RoS has an AoE of BF, while BW/SoT works more like "missiles": everyone in its landing square has his chance of being hitted, but without guaranty.
