Crash and Reboot

1 Attachment(s)
I've found WinSPWW2 to be exceptionally stable, however in the last week or two I've had two crashes while playing.

Microsoft suddenly reboots my PC, and then informs me it did me a favour to save me from possible data loss or something.

See the error signature attached. I looked for the files that were sent to MS with the error report, but they're gone, I guess because they were in a temp folder.

I run:

WinXP Professional SP3
Direct X 9.0c
MS .net Framework 3.5
I could go on and on...

If it happens again would you be interested in any info from my PC or any files at all? If so just let me know what you want.

cheers,
Cross

Not interested in any of Microsofts dump files.

As you have only just started to have these problems then what have you changed on your computer recently?.

Have you run a defrag and checked for lost clusters etc? - that is worthwhile on a maybe quarterly basis, to give your machine a decoke.

Cheers
Andy

I haven't defragged for a couple of months. Definately good advice. I'll do a scan disk, and then defrag over night and see if that clears it up.

Cheers,
Cross
