All ships treated the same?
Wondering if the different ships in the same class are treated the same in terms of gameplay.
For instance, is the USS Nevada considered the same as the Yamato class of battleships? |

The number of size of guns are shown with the ship, and the relative sizes of the graphics are accurate, but everything isn't boiled down to a single "gunnery factor" or something similar because I didn't want to encourage min-maxing. The commanders at the time knew the Nevada wasn't a match by herself for the Yamato, but what about Nevada and West Virginia? Or Nevada and three or four CAs? Players will have to come up with their own ideas about that. (plus, naval combat was never entirely predictable. It appears that the heavy cruiser Chokai was crippled at the Battle of Samar by a single 5-inch gun that set off the torpedoes still in their tubes on her deck). Thanks, John Hawkins KE Studios |
