major request
Now, I realise that for realistic reasons, this will not take place, but I will ask it anyway or else I won't forgive myself.
Is it possible to have the mini map enlarged when using higher resolutions than 800x600? It gets tiny and on small maps you have a problem seeing the dots, and in the larger maps you also have problem that you have to scroll and scroll, thus mitigating the whole minimap reason to be there. As I said, the answer is probably no, but I had to ask. |
Re: major request
IF it is possible at all there is very little room to expand it without blocking other things. Remember, this has to work on all 6 resolutions and what works at 1600x1280 may not at 640x480. However, I won't outright say no, this cannot be done becasue it may be possible to increase it's size a bit but that's only going to help large maps as this is set up so that those little dots you see representing units are one pixel and one pixel only and that's not going to increase to 4
I find turning ID tags on and zooming out the map gives me a better overview than the mini map. I hardly ever look at it. Don |
Re: major request
I play a game that has a button for the jump map that makes a Windows popup. I don't use it (or the WinSP minimap) very often but it is nice to have. The popup is the whole map and the "dots" are large enough to see. Clicking a dot takes you to that hex and closes the window.

Re: major request
I have another request, or dream if you wish :)
A (single player) randomly generated campaign where A)you can choose more than 3 different opponents B)The opponents you have, you choose in what sequence you are going to fight. Basicaly I would love to see, no matter how few chances there are, to have an expanded grand campaign/options to give a expanded feeling to the game. I am not talking about creating a RISK type or diplomacy, just more options for a single player dynamic campaign without having to create one mission by mission linear campaign to have something as mentioned earlier in this message. Hey, I can dream, can't I? :) |
