What did you make?

We have many Maps and Mods on the lists now (and some not on the lists). We have servers. And now the enablemod fix makes it much easier for servers to use mods (and of course they have always been able to use any map). If you created a map or mod that you feel has fallen out of attention (or you are just a big fan of one) then why not start up a game based on it? It gives you a chance to pitch it (write a long description of why it would be fun to use). Thats not like its obnoxious spam or anything. You are just creating a game and seeing if you can get anyone interested in playing it. People require the use of their own maps and mods in games they start here all the time.

Here is a link on how to start a game on Llamabeasts server if you want an email game.

Here is a link on how to start a game to host on my server if you want a direct-connect game.

Here are some notes on how to become your own server if you want to try that also (linux only but much of the information overlaps to Win and Mac)

Re: What did you make?

For Nation mods you might consider pre-building logical useful gods and scales for your nation and placing it as an AI on the map as if it has had a 100 turn headstart (extra starting armies, extra provinces, extra castles, pre-positioned to a highly defendable location). Its pretty simple to close off the top or bottom of a map (much harder to do the sides) so that player nations cannot start in "enemy territory" giving the AI opponent time to expand even further. Oh yeah, and remember that you can also ally AIs with each other. Giving an AI friendly neighbors that can buffer them for abit is also quite nasty to do.

With some of the "xxxxxx nation reborn" mods consider locking out the nation you are replacing. You could also, of course, choose to play your nation as a better-AI aggressor for everyone to beat. Or ask one of the expert players to do so.

Yes yes yes. Creating scenario maps utilizing some of the great nation mods we have available has been on my "do list" for a long time but Im caught up in other things and the creators or fans of those nations can do a better job anyway.
