Seeking Arrow
Under what conditions will a Seeking Arrow spell not hit if a hostile commander is in the target province at the start of a turn? The spell description seems to imply that defense or parry doesn't apply, but am I wrong there?
Context: EA Vanheim had raided my province with Vanjarl + some Mounted Hirdmen. On the next turn, I cast 2 Seeking Arrows at that province, but neither hit the commander. |

You would probably have noticed if the Vanjarl had an Air Shield item on, but those would help too. |
Re: Seeking Arrow
Doesn't that mean that it's impossible to use remote spells against stealth raiding?

Re: Seeking Arrow
if they alternate each turn by going into stealth mode, then, yes, basically.
Mind hunt still works. |
Re: Seeking Arrow
Which makes Shadow Seers very irritating, dangerous and annoying. You just can't root them out with attack spells.
Starchildren too, come to think of it. |
Re: Seeking Arrow
Starchildren are pretty underrated. Horrible things to deal with.

Re: Seeking Arrow
The blanket target remotes still work as well, but they're expensive and don't generally do enough concentrated damage to kill what you're looking for...if someone had like 10 shadow seers in one spot for some reason it might be worth a flames from the sky though.

Re: Seeking Arrow
Also true for LA Ulm Illuminated Ones. I wonder what kind of strategy could be based on that.

Re: Seeking Arrow
I think people have been using them as disruption spies fairly often. They don't have amazing stealth though, do they?

Re: Seeking Arrow
Stealth doesn't seem to help against Seeking Arrow. I killed my opponents stealthy rainbow mage with SA during a recent 1v1-game.
