Simple way to trim a map?
Can anyone explain to me in simple terms how to trim a map? I've read the help file as well as the game manual and can't seem to get my head around it. It says you can cut or copy the active portion of a map, and I understand that. I understand pasting what you have cut or copied into another map.
But what if the section you have cut is too small for the map you have pasted it into? If what you have cut is 40 x 60 and the map you are pasting it into is 40 x 70, can you just trim off the 10 extra hexes? What I have been doing is pasting the copied sections into a map that I'm sure is smaller than the copied section. Is this how to do it, or is there a simpler way? For one thing, I'm not sure how to tell the size of the copied section except by counting hexes. Thank you to anyone who can provide some advice. |
Re: Simple way to trim a map?
The section you want must be in top left corner
If not paste it there. Now guess or count hexes. Go into prefrences & adjust the map to that size Save it Sorry no need to count if in top left corner put mouse over bottom right hex of section you want read its coordinates & set prefs to them |
