37mm opfiring into tigers?

Hi, i recently had a 37mm atg opfiring into a tiger, since the tiger's weaker armor is 8 on the hull sides, does it make any sense shooting a 37mm with its amazing 6 at point blank range out on a tiger 400y away?can i stop this?

If you have the CD yes with ease just press 0 & set Op Fire Filter otherwise you are stuck with turning the range down.

It may cause some suppression

Blat away: you might immobilise it.

Heck with OP fire, If those kind of monsters come sniffing around and a 37mm is all I have I'll let him have it, providing getting out is not an opinion. A suppressed Tiger is better than a Cocky Tiger. I've even used snipers on Tigers etc.

Give your boys a medal for having the brass to tickle the beastie!! :D

Bob out:cool:

If you turn it into a pillbox, you can then drop some smoke in front of it, and render it relatively harmless, until you get around to dealing with him from the flank or with infantry.

I'm afraid of the Tiger's 88, but not it's armour. Of course it depends how the Tiger's being used, and at what range. But it's not invincible; hammer away at it. Or avoid it and let it get closer.

The German's came up with doctrine to try to use the Tigers well behind their own lines (>1000m) as much as possible, to preserve them. It became a long range support weapon, deadly to tanks out to 2000m I believe.

If you play this game for more than an hour or two a week, I highly recommend the CD version; if only for the much better screen resolution. But there's also a few other nice features

If its buttoned up, its less likely to spot your guys, and more vulnerable to close assault.

i would have to move my infantry 400y t assault, and i'm not risking my experienced crews to take a tiger out, i'll just drop smoke, when the PZIII are dealt with, i may move my shermans and kill it, i think there are about 10 destroyed PZ3s around, but still a few tanks out there

Not saying its a great tactic, just that there's at least something to be gained out of it :)
