Birthday Presents for Ballbarian
 

I should have done this yesterday (when his birthday was).
Lets all give BB a present for his SemiRand program project of either a province or a god so we can have things to scatter onto maps.

A) Province design
a1) what to name the province
a2) what terrain its for (farmland, swamp, mountain, sea, etc)
a2) what population it should have
a3) what defenders it should have
a4) what magic sites it should have

Such as
name: The Shire
terrain: Farmland
poptype: hoburgs
magic site: "Farm of Plenty"

B) Pretender design for AIs to use
b1) what nation its for
b2) what unit to use (monolith, gorgon, iron dragon, etc)
b3) what magic levels it should have
b4) what scales it should have (heat, luck, magic, etc)

such as
nation: Early Ulm
unit: Iron Dragon
name: "the Created God"
magic: none
scales: Order 3, Production 3, Magic -3

If nothing comes to mind and you still want to provide one then you could browse thru the guides and strategy discussions for one. And they do not have to be good or hard. We just need to have a lot of them of many different levels.

Your province example doesn't have any defenders, which might be confusing.

Right. I forgot. Altho as I understand it you dont really have to provide everything for either province or pretender. Just what you want. I think that setting poptype sets the default pretenders appropriately. (but I probably should have provided some)

Hmmm, I'll give it a shot:

Province
a1) name = Gorge of Living Chum
a2) terrain = deepsea
a2) poptype = shamblers & atlantans
a3) defenders = Kokythiad commander + a Leviathan (or 2, or 3...)
a4) site = Ghoul Fish Cave (#462)

Isn't the Iron Dragon just a unit? :confused:

I'd love to partecipate but I need to know if CBM or not and which version :)

Iron Dragon is just a unit. Unless you declare it to be a god. :)
Actually every unit in the game can be a god, a commander, or a troop, etc. In this case, assigning it as a god to a nation works really well. Anything not unique should work fine.

Im not sure if SemiRand has a CBM version. Id say to expect it to be non-CBM. But Im not sure how much it would break anything anyway as long as no units are used which were created just for use inside CBM.

How does the game behave if I make Eater of Gods or any of the other Doom Horrors a pretender ;)?

Defenders: Tons & tons of fanatical hoburgs.
If you enter the site, random undead.. specters etc - like forbidden city
However, the prize could be hoburgs head.
