Patch is available
|
Re: Patch is available
When extracted the file contains two files. A WPPInst (installer) file and a upgrade(MS-DOS batch). If you click on the WPPInst file it tells you it cant install WPP since it its already installed. Clicking on the upgrade file is the file that actually patches the game.
I just tried the upgrade file on a whim, since I havent seen an MS-DOS patch in a long time. Hopefully others will figure it out with no issue. If not, maybe they will read this and figure it out. |
Re: Patch is available
Excellent; I've just tried a quick game attempting a quick sea lanes victory, and the allies were hesitant at first, but then obliterated my navy in two strikes at Espirito Santo. Also the USN no longer attacked my home base in vain.
Thanks and congratulations! |
Re: Patch is available
Where's the readme file? What was changed? Fixed? or Added?

Re: Patch is available
Not listed in the 'list of changes' is more info on bases taking damage from aircraft. The 'hit' factor is cumulative for each day's attack.

Re: Patch is available
The patch notes say that reaction movement has been increased from 24 hours away to 72 hours away. However, when I start a normal campaign I get the message "24 hours Max Reaction Movement" right after the messages showing Standard Campaign and which side I am commanding.

Re: Patch is available
How about in-game. When you choose a reinforcement and/or with a number superimposed over the 'R' icon?
You may see something like +5, which means that you have something heading that way, but will take 5 days. For any TFs that can reinforce within 3 days, you should get a listing opened up telling you how many days each TF will take to get to you, from which you can choose one or more TFs to reinforce. |
Re: Patch is available
Yeah I have used reaction moves quite a bit. I have played through a game completely now as Japan, and the only reaction moves available were 1 day away.

Re: Patch is available
Scott,
Are you using a modified scenario, or the standard one? Thanks, |
