strange encounter

1 Attachment(s)
ok now i got a save about this thing (happened before but didnt take save) now i do have the save

the issue is

i took my points 10 000 computer 250

there are two strange things

first of all the computer can deploy to my deploy (or at least next to it) and in everywhere on map (in turn 1 it has units everywhere in map)

and the second issue is the point maximum of 250 (comp has like 10 000 points of units)

was just a test game to do some test drops in the map that's why i intended not to have any resistance (wanted to test where i can reach with our custom rules etc)

hope im doing it right (this attaching a file) never done it bedore but i give it a try

i doubt the paradrop is the issue here because it comes in turn 1 when arranged in deploy and the units are there in turn 0 i think because its turn 1 in that save and i move first as a player 1 so computer has not yet moved still it's everywhere in the map with it's units

so so strange

and oh i think its meeting

any ideas how / why this happened ?

1) if this is a campaign game then whatever points you entered for the AI are ignored.

2) In a battle generaror game then P2 should have the points you set. IF you set these correctly, and there is no way to tell post-facto if you did so.

3) If you are wanting to test something then set up a test scenario game in the scenario editor. Then you have 100% control of the situation.

Or

4/ Set P2 to Human purchase and Human deploy then you can purchase and deploy the AI's units whereever you like for your test giving you full control over both those aspects

A map with as much water as you have there should really never be given to the AI to deploy on without human help. It simply does not understand the concept of "Island"

Yes he loaded a custom map and it was an island map surrounded by water to boot.

No, the "bug" is that a human tried to use an AI deploy on a human-only map type.

The AI only knows of 2 water map types - beach for a beach assault, and river crossing assault.

A human can make all sorts of map types that have water, and can use them against a human opponent in any old battle type. The human opponent can adapt. But trying to use such a map with an AI player is a self-inflicted error.
