Modding idea

Couldn't one make a series of 'invisible provinces' (essentially white dots.

Then create a alien nation, with a national, 0th level spell equivalent to gateway...

Why?

Well, it would sort simulate invasion from outerspace - or
an invasion from hell.. where the demons can strike us (randomly) but we can't get back to the demons lands.....

Re: Modding idea

No, that is impossible, because map makers and mod makers would never colaborate in such a way.

;)
Just kidding. Sounds like a fun idea, Don't let me stop you. :)

Hmm well it's been suggested a few times in a watcher nation thread as well in some thread to introduce a new nation later in the game (might have been the same thread though)

I know this for a fact since I myself proposed it in both though something similar might have already been mentioned once before in those threads.

If it wasn't such a hassle creating a nation I'd really consider making a very powerfull nation for dom 3K and create an unconnected province somewhere (it wouldn't be invisible though since the castle or troops can't be hidden) but as it is if I create a nation it needs to be in the game.

I could severly upgrade my dragons in a seperate mod though and have them come into a game halfway to destroy civilization. (only MP since a sort of GM needs to play the invading nation.)

Maybe use "enter to summon" magic sites and no castle.

Or I think there might be a blank in the castle list. Maybe try castle 0.

If you assign them to one of the "Special Monsters" nations then they get the benefits of AI while blending with independents.

If you made their "god" their transport device then "slept" it then it would only appear much later. Or have it a "growing" god like the Eater of hte Dead so that it would only break loose later.

Not sure if any of that would work of course, just brain storming.

hmm Gandalf the AI would come at once or maybe not at all (do they use teleport spells?)

Im thinking a province with no neighbors, some mages with no leadership, 4 "enter to summon" sites, and a sleeping god that can transport large armies. That shoudl create a buildup situation with an attack later in the game.

I've never seen the AI use a teleport spell. I doubt that they do.

Re: Modding idea

If it had no connections it would effectively be invisible Aezeal. Cos you could never see it.

Re: Modding idea

Unless you teleported there yourself, of course, to stem the demon/alien invasion at source!

DRAMA!

Re: Modding idea

or a clairvoyance spell..
or a remote summon

Gandalf, your idea would never work with an AI.. if he could teleport he'd probably do so right away and die, or he'd never do it (what I think cus I agree with Sombre)
