Odd guard behavior
So, in playing a test game with Patala, I saw a really odd battle.
My prophet was trying to storm an Agarthan castle. She had a small army... some Gandharva summons, a few elephants, and some apes. Well, Agartha hit me before the storming, so most of the army was lost, though I won the battle. So now, ensuing, the prophet does indeed storm the castle. Mostly archers defending. Agartha has one skellie spammer in the back. My remaining Gandharvas (5) are set to guard commander. So, I have 6 units, none set to attack, for the storming. OK, here's the odd thing. After many turns of just shooting at each other, 3 of my Gandharva guards decided to attack into the castle. They weren't berserk or anything. They just disregarded guard commander orders and took off. And, they won me the castle. |
Re: Odd guard behavior
proof that 3 out of 5 Gandharvas prefer storming castles to guarding commanders, even if it means breaking orders.

Re: Odd guard behavior
You kill me Omni. Lol.

Re: Odd guard behavior
Perhaps you should execute those Gandharvas for disobeying orders - who knows, maybe they are trying to claim a status as a pretender god in a few turns?

Re: Odd guard behavior
They followed the trail of skeletons into the castle? Once they detached from the commander by fighting skeletons they went forward.

Re: Odd guard behavior
Yep, I think you got it right Psycho. That apparently is exactly what they did.
