Polish Hordes
I'm doing another 10 battle September 1939 Polish Campaign as Germany.I thought I had a large enough core but I was wrong. My north flank is gonna hold on long because alot of Polish infantry is using a bridge on the top map edge.Do you guys think this is suffient forces?

Re: Polish Hordes
Danger danger!Will Robertson.
I'd go for a tactical retreat give ground for time and regroup on better grounds. Them poles mean buisness! They are trying to out-flank in the north and getting way to close:shock: Btw.excellent save screen i must learn sometime how you did that:) |
Re: Polish Hordes
Aw, sissy stuff. The problem is having any sort of cover with something of a clearing for the poles to be shot in. If it can be assumed that there are no poles west of the revealed positions, then the infantry can march to the hex NW of the tank at the edge of the marsh, and the hex W of that one. What to do with the other 2 inf squads is anybody's guess. Perhaps backup to those forward cover positions when those inf possibly get shot up, or occupying flanks somewhere.
I would use the seen tank to shoot up the poles east of the river, and take the additional tank and move it up to either the hex E of the forward tank, or SE, with the same mission as the other tank (I think I favor the E position, because it can help bring fire to the units west of the river if needed. This is very doable, the only problem is any unseen western units there may be, coupled with the fact that these forces will bottle up these units for a good long time. If this game allows marsh AFV use, I would probably place both AFV's there, but not right away, as those spots offer more vision, but also weak sides to ATR's at close range. My guess is that there are 1 or 2 unseen squads west of the river. |

Re: Polish Hordes
It does look like the poles mean to pin you agaisnt the pond and stream and a very precarious position. as they also seem to have ,YOU outnumbered maybe 2 to 1 or more likley more like 3 to 1 counting for unseen forces which are I'm sure as shootin are there.
Classic left flank turn! and there is your main enemy forces! I still say run while you can before its too late and regroup with the main core and battle on the ground you choose. |
Re: Polish Hordes
Who knows of Gen. Jackson in Chancellorsville?
I think this kind of maneuver of reflects this:D |
Re: Polish Hordes
If they have RGs couple of damaged then dead tanks at that range.
